Arequipa

Arequipa is a beautiful city that was founded by the Spanish in 1540 in a place specially chosen for its natural beauty and its cozy climate.

This beautiful city is located at 2300 meters above sea level and lies at the foot of the Misti, a gigantic conical volcano of 5822 meters high. Known as the White City, Arequipa is full of fine buildings from colonial times and enjoys stunning natural landscapes.

In the center of the city, visitors can visit the wonderful Santa Catalina Monastery, the most important attraction that this beautiful city has. In the center we can visit the beautiful Arequipa Cathedral and the Museum of Andean Sanctuaries we will meet the Juanita mummy.
