Chocolate Lake Trek to Rainbow Mountain - 2 Days

Chocolate Lake Trek to Rainbow Mountain – 2 Days is another new alternative hike in Cusco; the Red Lake or Chocolate Lake is one of the most amazing natural formations in Cusco, it stands out for its reddish coloration caused by the proliferation of clay and the algae that inhabit its waters, depending on the time of year and the position of the sun, the waters of the lagoon can vary to a shade similar to chocolate, that is why it is also known as the chocolate lagoon.

The towns surrounding these routes are scattered since the families are dedicated to raising camelids and ancient agriculture. They show empathy with the visitor. Although it is true that some natural attractions, and particularly the red lake, have not yet been subjected to mass tourism, but they promise to be soon.
