Very early, we go to your hotel to pick you up and start our trip of approximately two hours until we reach the town of Cusipata. There we will enjoy a nutritious breakfast; continuing the journey, we will go to Sicuani and later to the district of Layo, where the Pallay Mountain is located.
In Layo, we will make a brief stop to get to know the town and its customs; then, our unit will ascend for a space of 30 minutes until we reach the base of the mountain. Later we begin a walk of approximately two and a half hours until we get to the sharp Mountain of Pallay Poncho. Their pigments of the famous mountain of colors are due to a complex combination of minerals, marine, lacustrine and fluvial sediments.
Throughout history, these sediments have been formed by layers of different lengths due to the collision of tectonic plates in the area. These bands of other minerals ended uprising and became the mountains that we can see today.
Later Pallay Poncho mountain acquired its colors due to the same oxidation of its minerals, exerted by the humidity of the area and their erosion.
The weather in the Pallay Punchu mountain is cold and windy in the mornings; at noon, you can see a drier and sunny climate.
Throughout the trip, you will be able to observe the beautiful landscapes and animals of the area. In addition, very close to the Paella Punchu mountain, you can see the beautiful Langui lagoon; this makes this mountain look spectacular and is a lovely destination. After the visit, we descend from the place to have lunch at one of the local restaurants de Layo, where we will enjoy its varied gastronomy based on Trout and Alpaca.
Finally, we will be back in the city of Cusco, whose approximate return will be at 6 pm.
