Veronica and then gently leads to Ancascocha. The campsite in this secluded wooded valley, accompanied by the soothing sound of a nearby stream, is the perfect setting for dinner and an evening of camaraderie around the campfire.

The descent to our lunch spot near Incaracay is a gentle one, filled with historical intrigue. The day concludes with a delicious dinner, possibly featuring local Andean cuisine, at our campsite.

Journey from Paucarcancha to Aguas Calientes via Ollantaytambo
On the final day of hiking, after breakfast, you’ll make your way to Km 82, walking a section of the celebrated Classic Inca Trail. Your guide will highlight the historical significance of the path, dotted with ancient sites and captivating stories. Conclude your hike with a fulfilling lunch at Km 82.
Post-lunch, we transport you to Ollantaytambo, an ancient town brimming with history. Here, board a scenic train to Aguas Calientes, a journey offering a new perspective on the landscapes you’ve traversed. As you approach Aguas Calientes, the scenery transforms to lush, verdant views, signaling your arrival at the gateway to Machu Picchu.

A short bus ride up the winding mountain roads brings you to the gates of Machu Picchu, a sight that is sure to take your breath away.
As you step into the citadel, the intricate stonework and the harmonious blend of architecture and nature unfold before you. Your guide will lead a detailed 2-hour tour, sharing insights into the site’s historical significance and the brilliance behind its construction. After the tour, take some time to explore the ruins at your own pace. Whether you choose to climb Huayna Picchu for a bird’s-eye view of the site, or simply wander through the quieter sections of the ruins, the experience is bound to be unforgettable.
In the afternoon, regroup for the bus ride back to Aguas Calientes. Here, you’ll board a train to Ollantaytambo, followed by a van transfer to Cusco.
